Meet our short wall bracing system It is a light gauge steel brace that fits inside your 90mm wall frame.

It is designed to fill the gap where conventional plywood and hardboard applications are unable to provide meaningful bracing capacity.

It can be used in timber or steel frames, with slabs or floor frames (first floor, subfloor).
(NB: Please note the system has a reduced capacity for floor frame fixings compared to concrete slab applications.)


The brace unit is installed instead of the bottom plate and is secured to the wall framing studs either side and to the existing top plate. Please refer to our installation guide for further details or contact our team.

If your project requires a load bearing stud at one or both ends of the brace, we can also custom detail a brace unit to suit the specific load requirements of your project, utilising SHS sections the spectre brace can support wide span lintels or upper level floor beams, providing a dual benefit where conventional bracing methods cannot.

The Spectre Brace is manufactured in standard sizes of 300, 350, 400, 450 and 600mm widths and 2400mm, 2700mm and 3000mm heights. We can however also provide custom sizes (width or height) to suit your application, please contact our team to discuss how we can help you.
